On 14th May 2026, UK Management College proudly hosted AIBiz: AI Disruption in Professional Services, bringing together academics, business leaders, researchers, and industry professionals for an engaging and insightful event focused on the future impact of artificial intelligence across professional sectors.
The event opened with an inspiring welcome speech from Emma Holt, President of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, who spoke about innovation, collaboration, and the importance of preparing for a rapidly evolving digital future.
The programme featured a distinguished line up of speakers including Phil Kilburn from Manchester Growth Company, who delivered a thought provoking session on the future impact of AI, Dr Tahira Suleman from AIQual, who discussed opportunities and challenges surrounding AI adoption, and Dr Ahmad Farahani from the University of Salford, who explored the growing role of AI within auditing and professional services.
A major highlight of the event was the panel discussion chaired by Dr Nader Virk from Manchester Metropolitan University, alongside panellists Dr Narmin Nahidi from the University of Essex, Christian Mancier from Gravier and Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, and Dr Eliza Morgan from Honey & Morgan. The panel explored how organisations and professional services can effectively respond to AI disruption in an increasingly technology driven world.
Audience engagement remained exceptional throughout the event, with attendees actively participating in discussions, questions, and conversations across every session. The atmosphere reflected a genuine enthusiasm for collaboration, learning, and innovation.
The second part of the event showcased presentations from UKMC academics, highlighting their research work and scholarly contributions across a range of areas connected to business, technology, and professional practice.
