Funding Your Studies at UK Management College

Understanding how to funding your studies is an important part of planning for university. There are two main options to do this.

Self Funding: Applicants may choose to either self-fund, which means you will commit to paying the

Student Finance England (SFE): SFE stands for Student Finance England, the government‑backed service (run by the Student Loans Company) that provides tuition fee loans, maintenance loans, and various grants to eligible students in England.

This must be in place prior to starting your course, and can take several weeks or longer to approve, so is essential to prepare in advance.

Self Funding Your Studies

To self fund, you can make an application directly through our Admissions Team, and then get in touch to explain how you are planning to fund your studies through your own income. Do this by contacting admissions@ukmc.ac.uk

Applying for Student Finance to Fund Your Studies

The Student Finance England website provides a full understanding of the service, and is updated from time to time. We advise all applicants to review and understand this guidance fully.

Your guide to Student Finance England - Student Finance England

Student Finance England is part of the Student Loans Company (SLC). They manage applications and provide loans and grants to students attending university or college in England.

They have a range of criteria, and depending on your circumstances, they may be able to support eligible applicants with:

A Tuition Fee Loan to help pay the course tuition fees charged by your university or college
A Maintenance Loan to help pay for things like rent, food, books, travel and other living costs

Other support may be available depending on your circumstance.

Who Can Apply?

Eligibility depends on a number of factors, including:

Your residency status
Nationality
Previous study
The course you are studying
Your personal circumstances

Not every applicant will be eligible for Student Finance.

How to Apply

Applications for Student Finance are completed directly through Student Finance England.

If you already have an application you can log in at https://www.gov.uk/student-finance-register-login

If you are choosing to apply for a tuition fee loan, we recommend applying as early as possible once applications open to help ensure your funding is in place before your course begins.

The application process typically involves:

Creating a Student Finance account.
Completing your online application.
Providing any requested supporting evidence.
Waiting for your application to be assessed.
Receiving confirmation of your funding entitlement.

Tuition Fees

If you are eligible for a Tuition Fee Loan, Student Finance England will normally pay your tuition fees directly to UK Management College (where applicable).

If you are self-funding your studies, tuition fees will be payable directly to UKMC in accordance with your Student Contract and applicable fee arrangements.

Already Applied?

If you have already submitted your Student Finance application, you should regularly check your Student Finance account to:

Monitor the progress of your application
Respond to any requests for additional information
Ensure your funding has been approved
Update any changes to your personal circumstances

Support with Your Application

Our Conversion Officer teams can provide general guidance about the Student Finance application process.

Please note that UK Management College cannot make decisions about eligibility or funding awards, create or submit any application. This is the sole responsibility of the applicant, and is a commitment to a financial loan. Any loan you borrow needs to be paid back, but not until you’ve finished or left your course, and you earn over a certain amount.
