No. You are warmly welcome to attend even if you do not have research to present. The conference is open to researchers, practitioners, students, and guests who simply wish to be part of the conversation.

What types of submissions are accepted?

The conference accepts four submission tracks:

  • Full Papers (6,000–8,000 words) : completed research with strong theoretical or empirical contribution
  • Short Papers / Work-in-Progress (3,000–4,000 words) : early-stage or conceptual research
  • Industry Case Studies (3,000–5,000 words) : real-world AI applications and insights
  • Posters & Doctoral Research (1,000–1,500 word abstract) : emerging research and PhD work
What word counts apply to each track?

Full Papers: 6,000–8,000 words (excluding references)

Short Papers / Work-in-Progress: 3,000–4,000 words

Industry Case Studies: 3,000–5,000 words

Posters & Doctoral Research: 1,000–1,500-word abstract

What structure should my Full Paper follow?

Full papers must follow this structure:

  • Title (no author details)
  • Abstract (200–300 words)
  • Keywords (4–6)
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review
  • Methodology
  • Findings/Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References

The paper should demonstrate strong theoretical grounding, a clear research design, and critical analysis, not purely descriptive writing.

What structure should a Short Paper / Work-in-Progress follow?

Short papers have a flexible structure but should cover:

  • Research aim/questions
  • Brief literature context
  • Proposed or initial methodology
  • Expected or preliminary findings

The paper should show a clear research direction and a demonstrated potential contribution.

What structure should an Industry Case Study follow?
  • Context / organisational background
  • Problem or challenge
  • AI solution or approach
  • Implementation process
  • Outcomes and impact
  • Lessons learned

Critical reflection is expected, not just storytelling. There must be a clear link to AI and the conference themes

What should a Poster / Doctoral Research abstract include?

Extended abstract (1,000–1,500 words) covering:

  • Research background
  • Problem statement
  • Research questions/objectives
  • Methodology (proposed or ongoing)
  • Expected contribution

Poster format: A1 size (portrait or landscape) with a clear visual presentation of key ideas. This track is specifically designed to support PhD students and early-career researchers in sharing their developing work.

Can I submit a paper that has been published or submitted elsewhere?

No. All submissions must be original, not previously published, and not currently under review at another venue. Submissions that do not meet this requirement will be desk-rejected.

3. Review Process & Formatting
How are submissions reviewed?

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process. This means:

  • Reviewers do not know the identity of the author(s)
  • Review criteria include: originality and contribution, methodological rigour, relevance to conference themes, and clarity and academic quality.
What referencing style should I use?

Harvard referencing is required for all submissions. It must be applied consistently throughout the paper.

How many keywords should I include?

Include between 3 and 6 keywords with your submission. These help reviewers and readers identify the focus and scope of your work.

What general formatting requirements apply to all submissions?
  • Clear academic writing throughout
  • Proper and consistent referencing (Harvard)
  • Consistent formatting
  • 3–6 keywords included
  • No author names, affiliations, or identifying details (for blind review)
  • At least one author must register and be present to present if the paper is accepted

What is the abstract submission requirement?

Before submitting a full paper, you must submit a 200–300 word abstract via the conference submission portal. Details of the portal link are available in the Call for Papers document.

5. Publication & Presentation
Will my paper be published?

Selected papers will be considered for publication in:

  • IGI Global volumes or other recognized journals
  • Book chapters
  • Conference proceedings

Not all accepted papers are automatically published, a selection process applies.

What presentation format will be used?

Presentation format depends on the submission track:

  • Full Papers: Full Paper presentation
  • Short Papers / Work-in-Progress: Oral or poster presentation (determined by reviewers)
  • Industry Case Studies: Presentation with practitioner engagement
  • Posters & Doctoral Research: Poster presentation with interactive discussion
Must I attend in person to present?

Yes. At least one author of each accepted paper must register and be present at the conference to deliver the presentation. Remote presentation options are available for international participants.
