Dr Zubair Ahmed

Dr Zubair Ahmad is the Course Director for Business Management at UK Management College and an experienced academic leader with more than 23 years of international experience across Pakistan, Norway, and the United Kingdom. He oversees the academic development, delivery, and student experience of one of the institution’s largest programmes, contributing to student success across all UKMC campuses. His leadership is defined by a strong commitment to inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environments.

Dr Ahmad holds a PhD, an MRes, an MSc in Logistics, and an MBA in Management Information Systems. Having taught a wide range of business subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, he is recognised for his clear communication style, student-centred approach, and ability to motivate learners from diverse backgrounds. His work places strong emphasis on academic integrity, personal development, and lifelong learning.

In his role as Course Director, he works closely with academic teams, Student Success Tutors, and partner universities to ensure high standards of teaching quality, assessment, and programme consistency. He contributes actively to academic governance, curriculum enhancement, and the mentoring and professional development of colleagues. His leadership philosophy centres on collaboration, respect, and empowering both students and staff.

Dr Ahmad is also deeply engaged in community-building across the college, supporting co-curricular activities, student events, and initiatives that promote belonging and wellbeing. His passion for education, extensive experience, and approachable manner make him a valued member of UKMC’s academic leadership team.

With a strong academic and professional foundation, I hold a BABS (Hons) from Cardiff Metropolitan University, an MBA, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of the West of Scotland. I currently serve as the Course Director for the BA (Hons) Digital Marketing Management and Academic Head of the Foundation Year at UK Management College Manchester, where I oversee programme development, academic delivery, and student success initiatives. My professional background includes over seven years of experience in the UK telecommunications industry, where I developed expertise in sales, marketing, and customer engagement. I am skilled in leadership, project management, curriculum design, team collaboration, and strategic problem-solving. Driven by a commitment to innovation in higher education, I strive to promote academic excellence, enhance the student experience, and deliver meaningful impact across the programmes I lead.
