UKMC World Mental Health Day 2026

UKMC World Mental Health Day 2026

Mind Matters: Connect • Recharge • Speak • Support
Date: Monday 12 to Friday 16 October 2026
Time: 10:00am to 2:00pm
Venue: All UKMC campuses

World Mental Health Day is a chance to talk openly about mental wellbeing, challenge stigma and remind each other that support is always available. This year, we're marking it with Mind Matters, a relaxed, interactive week of activities for students and staff that's all about connection, self-care and positive conversations.

You'll find us in the busiest spots on campus, including reception, library entrances, common rooms and canteens. Just look for the UKMC colours, the wellbeing displays and our photo booth.

Start your Wellbeing Passport

When you arrive, complete a quick, anonymous check-in by choosing one word that sums up how you're feeling today, such as good, calm, tired, stressed or overwhelmed. You'll then receive your Wellbeing Passport. Visit each activity station at your own pace and collect a stamp at every one. Once your passport is complete, you can pick up a free gift and a raffle number for the prize draw.

Activity stations

Mental Health Myth-Buster: Test your knowledge with quick true or false questions and help challenge common myths about mental health.

Stress-Buster Table: Take a moment to unwind with colouring, mini puzzles, stress balls, fidget toys, positive message cards and wellbeing tips.

Affirmation and Wellbeing Wall: Share a positive message or coping tip by finishing the sentence "When I feel stressed, something that helps me is…". Your messages will be displayed throughout the week.

Know Your Support: Find out how to get support through the UKMC Wellbeing team, Mental Health First Aid and Togetherall, our free, anonymous 24/7 peer support service. Scan the QR codes to access each service straight away.

Raffle draw and refreshments

The raffle draw takes place at 1:00pm, and two winners will receive our Mental Health Champion grand prize. Refreshments will be available for students throughout the event. Staff are welcome to take part too, with separate gifts available.

Terms and conditions: To enter the grand prize draw, you must complete every activity in your Wellbeing Passport.
