Stress Awareness Month at UKMC

We are pleased to invite all students and staff to take part in Stress Awareness Month at UK Management College. This initiative is designed to raise awareness about stress, support your wellbeing, and provide practical ways to manage everyday pressures.

Between the 13th—21st April, each UKMC campus will dedicate a day to Stress Awareness Month, offering a safe and supportive space to pause, reflect, and prioritise your wellbeing. A variety of student-focused activities will be running on every campus, alongside a staff wellbeing event focused on work-life balance and managing professional demands.

Student Events: Student wellbeing events will be running across all campuses from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on selected days, offering a range of activities to support student mental health and wellbeing.

Each campus will host a day of activities:

  • Abarna Campus – 13th April
  • Sunderland Campus – 13th April
  • Salford Campus – 16th April
  • Newcastle Campus – 16th April
  • Derby Campus – 18th April

Students are encouraged to attend the activities taking place on their campus and take advantage of the support available.

What Can You Expect?

Throughout the event, students will be able to:

  • Take part in interactive wellbeing activities
  • Visit the Stress Check Booth
  • Engage in creative de-stress activities such as colouring
  • Contribute to the Gratitude Tree
  • Access wellbeing resources and practical tips
  • Receive small wellbeing giveaways
  • Connect with peers in a relaxed environment

Event for staff: (21st April)

We are pleased to welcome an external wellbeing specialist, Sonny Ferretti, who brings extensive experience in delivering mental health training and workshops. Workshop will be on work-life balance and there will be gift bags for members of staff who can attend in-person.
