UKMC welcomed Mayor Ehthesham Haque to our Sunderland campus as part of Stress Awareness Month.
The visit enabled discussions with our leadership team about the college’s mission, academic growth, and commitment to inclusive education.
Mayor Haque addressed staff and students, speaking on leadership, civic responsibility, and community impact. He highlighted UKMC’s role in supporting academic success and student wellbeing.
During the visit, he engaged with students and explored campus initiatives, including a wellbeing booth focused on mental health support. His visit emphasised the importance of creating a supportive environment for students.
